Amazon’s new serialized publishing service, Kindle Vella, announced on April 13, 2021 is currently only open for authors to upload their content in preparation for a yet-to-be-announced launch date.
“Readers will be able to enjoy your stories when we make the Kindle Vella store available in the next few months,” is the answer Amazon is giving authors on their website.
It only makes sense that Amazon currently wants to build a critical mass of stories on Vella before it launches and as such, we guess they don’t know when this will happen. It will depend on the uptake by authors.
When Vella launches it will initially only be available to readers in the United States.
